Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. She was raised listening to classic and old boleros, as well as the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana loves the operas and tangos as well as all dramatic performances. Her mother taught her to sing, but she started more intense vocal training with Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when he was a renowned Mexican opera Tenor. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. While a young student and professional, she performed with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. In 2000 she moved into in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she returned to her home in southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her love and passion for art, music, and performing keep her engaged with many local organizations as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her love and love for the traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation, to help keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
